Current Building Projects
Halls Head Administration and Early Learning Centre
This project will provide our students with enhanced facilities to support their learning and extracurricular activities. The project will be led by Shelford Construction, the builder responsible for constructing our impressive Kwobadiny Sports Centre.
To ensure minimal disruption, the construction site will be securely fenced off as per the below plans and builders will access the area through an alternate gate adjacent to the oval on Waxflower Vista, thus preventing any disruption to our car park facilities and avoiding any student access or interaction with builders. The building program is expected to occur over an 8 month period and conclude in early December ready for operation in 2025.
We will continue to update you over the period of the building project.
Frederick Irwin Anglican School Halls Head Campus Build Commencement!
On Wednesday 28 February, we were very excited to commence our new campus Administration and Early Learning Centre build with a walk-around of the Halls Head Campus.
This project will provide our students with enhanced facilities to support their learning and extracurricular activities.
Head of Primary Mrs Sue Kirke, Business Manager Mr Trent Costelow, our Grounds and Maintenance Leaders, Project Manager and Builder – Shelford were on site to focus on project planning including site safety and access.
We are very pleased to be working with Shelford, who built our new Kwobadiny Sports Centre, commissioned in 2023. The building program is expected to occur over an 8 month period and conclude in early December ready for operation in 2025.
Secondary Marine Biology Centre
The second project is the new Marine Biology space within our Secondary School. This project is particularly exciting as it will provide our Marine Science students with a state-of-the-art facility tailored to their specific educational needs. As part of the construction process, the builders will install site fencing to secure the area, and the windows adjacent to the science classroom will be boarded up to ensure safety. While there may be some high-volume noise works occurring before or after school hours, we will do everything to ensure noise is kept to a minimum during the day.
This space will be out-of-bounds to students and all works contained within the fenced area. This project should be finalised in the first few weeks of Term 2, 2024.
