Congratulations to Hitomi Cording (Year 10) who recently went to Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, to participate in the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships.
Hitomi competed in Champion Lifesaver, in which only nine participants from all of Australia were able to participate in! Champion Lifesaver events consist of Beach Sprint, Surf Race, Rescue Tube Race, and Board Race as well as Theory test and CPR. Hitomi came 4th in overall score that was only 3.25 points short to 3rd place - amazing!
Hitomi also participated in several individual and team events such as board race, surf race, lronwoman, Cameron relay and Board relay. Her team made it to the final for Cameron relay.
