Author Gabriel Evans Visits Halls Head Campus
Our Pre-Primary and Year 1 students at our Halls Head Campus enjoyed author and illustrator, Gabriel Evans, visiting them recently!
Students listened to Gabriel talk about the effort and time he has to keep putting into all his books, drafts and drawings, and showed the students the sketchbook that he takes everywhere.
Gabriel then had students describe an animal wearing clothes, and holding items they would take on holidays with them, before having the students draw the same animal they just described!
Students asked so many questions, and thoroughly enjoyed Gabriel reading his newest book to them (only released a month ago!) - Listen, Hippo!
Thank you for visiting us, Gabriel! Thank you also to Cathy Puzey, from Mandurah Public Libraries, who facilitated his visits to local primary schools as a part of 'Love to Read Local Week’.
