Deputy Head of Primary - Meadow Springs (Issue 13, 2023)
Dear Parents and Carers
So much is happening here at Meadow Springs...where to start? Rosalie Smith in Year 6 represented us at the finals of the Rotary Year 6 four-way-test Speakers Challenge. She was outstanding, sharing her insights on passion, sport and well-being. They were so impressed she was then asked to present to a Senior group of Rotarians!
We held our first House Day - which included a big singalong at the end of the day - very special. Our House spirit didn't end there, with our Kindergarten to Year 2 and Year 3 to 6 Inter-House Sports Carnival. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend the morning together, with competition and teamwork. Mr Clark and I learnt we are not as good at skipping as we once were!
Our assemblies continue to share positive messages and celebrate class successes. Our most recent were from Pre-Primary and Year 5. But it's not just these events, it's all the small moments that shape our lives.
My final image to share is a picture of Ellie and Kate who were reading, The last tree in the City (one of my favourite books) and I took them to the actual tree!
