Dear Parents and Carers

Here we are at the end of a terrific Term 2!  What a great term it has been.  There have been so many activities, excursions, camps and lots of varied opportunities for our students.  I have loved being part of many events and seeing the talent and enjoyment by our students.

I would like to acknowledge the students on their hard work and effort over the term.  I am very proud of them and hope as they reflect on the term they will have some wonderful highlights and can identify some areas to set as goals for Term 3.

To the staff, I am really grateful for their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication towards your children.  They work incredibly hard and care enormously. We are very blessed with our staff and I want to thank them all for their outstanding efforts. We have over 230 staff across the school so it really does take a village to raise a child.  At the end of this term we say farewell to Mrs Neb Ryland who has served our school for many years. She has been connected to the school for close to 24 years and been a teacher at our school for 15 years. I would like to thank her for her work and service to our school and wish her God’s blessing for the next chapter.  To Mr Peter Skeggs, thank you for all your work and service to our school.  We wish you every happiness as you retire. Mrs Alyce Baker, thank you for your work over the last year and a half, we wish you well for the future. Finally, Ms Sue Youens, thank you for your work as Head of Primary - Meadow Springs, and we wish you a safe and happy move back to Albany.

To the following staff on long service leave, we wish you well and trust you have a restful time off:
Mrs Sheryl Compton
Ms Tamara Cowan
Mrs Megan Crane
Mr Garry Hayden
Mr Garry Williams
Mr Craig Winter
Ms Kerry Forrester
Ms Wendy Morgione

I would also like to thank the following staff who have covered Long Service Leave or other extended leave and are at the end of their short term contract:
Ms Lauren Daniels
Mrs Kim Mason
Mrs Juliet McCauley
Mr Andrew Pennycott
Ms Katrina Richardson
Miss Chloe Storer
Ms Stephanie Sutton
Mr Cale Tierney
Mr Matthias Zver

To our families, thank you for your support over the term.  As you read your child’s report I hope they can reflect with you on what they are proud of, what they have achieved and some goals that they can focus on for next term.  Every day is a fresh opportunity to try their best and we are here to support them in this journey.

I hope you are able to take some time off with your children over the school break and wish you a blessed time together.  If you are staying home then stay warm and safe.  I look forward to seeing you all in Term 3 ready for an awesome Semester 2.

God bless
