Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to this edition of our newsletter and as you can read there has been a joyful buzz around the campuses. I love Term 4 as it is a term where the weather turns warmer and I can feel the pride in what students have achieved. As they begin to finalise projects and show demonstrations of what they are and have learnt is palpable. I can also see the joy as students start to think of Christmas and all that they are looking forward to, you can feel the enthusiasm and atmosphere. We should not take for granted the joyful community that we have as it is something really special.

I want to wish our Year 12s all the best as they sit their examinations. Throughout the week I have met with the Year 12s before their examinations to make sure they are all feeling as good as they can. I have been blown away at their mature outlook and a sense that they have applied themselves and that they will give their best. They are a fantastic group of students and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.

Year 11s enjoyed their camp and activities and again, I wish them all the best as they move into their examinations for the final part of the year. I have been really pleased to see the Year 11 group show a mature and optimistic approach towards school and I have been very pleased with their application towards study – well done.

Across both Primary Schools we have seen fantastic learning taking place. The Have Sum Fun Mathematics challenge was particularly impressive. The students are a joy to see as they really give everything to their learning and the range of activities across the school. I am very proud of each and everyone of them whether it is at school or on the basketball court or participating in the variety of activities.

We continue to develop our school with improvements being done across both campuses. I am delighted to advise that the capital project to develop an Early Years and Administration Centre has been approved for Halls Head for 2024. Since Halls Head commenced it has been the desire of the School Council to develop the Halls Head campus and this is a wonderful time in the history of the school. Early Years education is crucial in shaping a child’s development, and by offering a customised centre, we can provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners that complements the facilities offered at Meadow Springs.

This project has taken significant time and effort by the staff and leadership at Halls Head as well as Noah Clark, Sue Kirke, Trent Costelow, Ian Bowes, School Council, ASC Capital Development team and myself. This is going to be an exciting project which is due to commence in March/April 2024 with a projected opening date of early 2025. I congratulate all involved for their passion, energy and excitement in making our school a place of excellence. With this new development and the rejuvenation plan for the next ten years at Meadow Springs we will continue to see our school enhanced as a leading K-12 educational provider. I want to thank families for your ongoing support as together with our staff, your contribution have played a significant role in the success of our school thus far, and we are confident that this new project will enhance our school and complement the facilities offered across the school.

We will provide more information and some sneak peek plans in due course. This is a wonderful time and I am excited for the future for our school. We have much to celebrate and be thankful for at this great school and our great community.

God bless
Tracey Gray
