Halls Head Assembly - No to Bullying
On Friday 5 August, the Halls Head Assembly was led by the Year 6 House Captains and Student Councillors. We had a wonderful Welcome to Country by former Chapel Prefect and Class of 2017 Alumni, Mr Sean Hill who spoke about what NAIDOC means to him.
The assembly primarily focused on bullying and the core value of 'Compassion'. For the bullying focus, the students held a panel talking about what is and isn't bullying, and the agreement was that bullying is being mean over and over again, but can be verbal, physical or social.
They then stressed that everyone just needs to BE KIND - which is Mrs Gray's message and goal for the school - 100% Kindness!
Captain Compassion then visited the assembly to talk about the Peel Community Kitchen donations to help the hungry and homeless, there have been some amazing donations from the School community!
What a wonderful assembly, and hopefully the students can understand it's better to BE KIND!
