High School Cup Netball – Round 1 Day Carnival
This year Frederick Irwin had three teams compete in Round 1 of the WA School Sport High School Cup netball. Our three teams travelled to Fremantle Netball Centre to play in a round-robin format against schools from all over the metropolitan area.
All the teams had a great day even though it was very wet and windy!!! Our Year 7/8 team won three out of four games, our 9/10 team won three out of five games and our Year 11/12 team had three wins and a loss. We now wait for the other playoff days to find out if we continue through to the next round.
As always, the girls represented Frederick Irwin with pride and fantastic sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the players for their determination and enthusiasm given all day. Thanks to Mrs Crane and Mrs Mullenax for coaching and Kyara Grove, Sophie Harford, Elliott Weatherstone, Emma-Jayne Potgeiter and Danielle Speedy who came as our umpires.
