Japanese at Halls Head

Primary School Monday, 11 Apr 2022

The students have had a lot of fun in Japanese this year.

In February they got to learn about the Bean Throwing Festival where people scatter roasted soybeans inside and outside their houses shouting 'Devils out. Good luck in!'  The students made Japanese demon (oni) masks while learning about this.

In March they learnt about Doll's Festival, this is a celebration for girls, families who have girls display beautiful dolls in ancient court costumes and pray for their daughters' healthy growth and happiness.  The students got to make unique crowns.

We can't wait to see what they do next term!
