Triathlon Success from Year 10 Students!
Congratulations to Year 10 students, Serena and Vanessa, earning themselves a podium spot in the All Schools Triathlon Championships, placing 3rd out of 27 Year 10 girls teams.
They were the only team of two, and had some tough state swimmers, cyclists and runners to compete with.
Serena placed 1st in the swim, Vanessa 3rd in the cycle and Serena only just fell out of the top 10 fastest runs, getting 11th, but still giving them 3rd fastest overall finisher time of 53minutes.
Conditions were really hot, especially for the run and the girls threw everything into it, taking close to 5min off last years race time. They finished 8th out of 136 female teams and placed 49th out of a total of 279 male and female secondary teams. Superb results against teams of three athletes!
