Year 4 Excursion - Exploring Wetlands
In an exciting educational excursion, the Year 4 students recently embarked on a visit to the captivating Rio Tinto Naturescapes playground located in Kings Park. This outdoor adventure provided an invaluable opportunity for our students to delve into the captivating world of wetland habitats and gain insights into the invertebrates that signify the health of these unique ecosystems.
At the Rio Tinto Naturescapes, the students eagerly engaged in hands-on activities, fostering a deeper understanding of wetland habitats. Equipped with nets, magnifying glasses and field guides, they meticulously observed and documented the abundance of invertebrates present in the wetland environment.
The visit to Rio Tinto Naturescapes not only sparked curiosity but also inspired the students to become stewards of wetland environments. Armed with newfound knowledge, they are now equipped to make informed decisions to protect and preserve these vital ecosystems.
